Description

Dunraz returned to the cave. This time the landing was a lot more complicated because on a long rope attached to his machine swung a treetrunk.
After he managed to get the tree into the cave he vanished for another short period of time and returned with his arms full of round stones.
He landed and the machine turned back into his staff. Carefully placing the stones onto the floor of the cave he built a ring out of them. He then proceeded to break up the tree trunk into smaller pieces that he arranged on top of the stone ring to form a small oven. A tiny nest out of smaller wooden pieces formed in the middle of the stone ring.
Having the nest done he sighed. It had been the easier part of the work. He had pondered about how to do the second part ever since he left Tijan’d’Oro on board of the Basilea.
Kneeling in front of the nest he leaned on the staff and concentrated on the lose threads of spacetime.

The opening of the staffs tip was aimed at the nest and the soft glow it emitted was growing stronger. What he seeked was in the past. He had to find one of the eggs parents. More than half an hour passed whilst he remained motionless before he increased the grip on his staff. His knuckles turned white under the pressure. He had found her.
The mother of the eggs.
He needed another quarter of an hour to find the point in time he needed. Rewinding the threads until the moment was only seconds ahead he opened up the portal.

The seconds passed. He counted backwards.
A blast of fire blazed out of the tip of his staff and ignited the nest. The fireblast lasted only a few seconds bathing the cave in reddish brightness robbing the structures of their shadows and making everything seem flat. The heat rolled over his shield but he had to narrow his eyes because of the brightness.
Then it was over. The blaze died away, when the mother closed her mouth- confused as to why the fire she wanted to spit was not appearing in front of her- to prepare another try.
Dunraz let the portal dissolve. He had done it. Not only had he found the mother in the past, but he had also managed to bring the fire from her throat into the distant future to ignite the firenest that would breed her offspring.
Satisfied he watched the burning wood for a while. He poked around at the ground of the nest until the kindling had fallen to an even bed of hot ashes. Content with the state of the nest he got up and stretched his limbs. His legs had fallen asleep, he had kneeled for over an hour after all. He went over to the small stonenest and looked at the eggs. Then he shrugged, closed his eyes and picked one egg at random, carried it to the burning nest ever so careful and cautiously lowered it into the flames.

Don’t get so close to the flames Dunraz, you’re going to burn yourself. Nah, he has a protective shield that keeps the heat away c:
Sorry, I didn’t upload anything yesterday, I didn’t feel like drawing at all :c . So this time you get a part of my headworlds story as compensation. I promised someone I would translate the part to English so I did c:
This is the part of the story where Dunraz uses the fucked up spacetime to bring the firy breath of Sorex’ mother to the present and breed his egg. The portal does not show anything from the past, as it does in the drawing but that's just some artistic liberty I took, haha.
So yeah I hope you liked that small story. I think I’ll add a bit of story whenever I draw a sketch that pictures a scene out of my headworld, what do you think?

Art, Dunraz, Sorex’ Ma, aswell as Phasmainara and it’s fucked up spacetime belong to me.

Wow, a nice story. The words and the image go together perfectly, and it makes me wonder what happens next!
